ABOUT US IN VON PORA'S FOOTSTEPS ULLINGE'S HISTORY A wedding with us in Ullinge can be designed in many different ways, completely according to your wishes. Here we give an example of what a classic implementation can look like. LET THE ADVENTURE BEGUN Ullinge has a long and rich history of hosting. A story that began in the 1930s when Flight Colonel G\u00f6sta von Porat came to the site, attracted by the fantastic location right on the shore of S\u00f6dra Wixen. A fantastically interesting story that we love to tell and share! FLIGHT COLONEL VON PORAT G\u00f6sta von Porat was born in H\u00e4ggan\u00e4s, Norra Sandsj\u00f6 and was the son of Anders Gustaf von Porat and Maria Muhr. The von Porat family is noble and has its origins in Mecklenburg. Von Porat graduated as an officer in 1906 and was promoted to lieutenant at the Fortifications in 1909, which is of course an important milestone for the colonel. FLIGHT TRAINING He then continued his studies at the Artillery and Engineering College between 1907-1910 and also became a teacher there. His thesis is about aviation, \u201cThe Aeroplane and its Military Use\u201d, but is mostly met with sympathetic shrugs. However, G\u00f6sta\u2019s interest in aviation is piqued! PARIS & TUMMELISA Von Porat heads for Frankrike and does his flight training at the Nieuport flight school in Pau and receives his Swedish flight diploma as number 7. His flight career is now underway! Von Porat later continues his training in Paris and during his training there designs a single-seater biplane that was named Tummelisa and was used as a training aircraft for more than ten years. ULLINGE SEES THE LIGHT OF DAY Von Porat was a pioneer in the Swedish aviation industry and his career included roles in both the army and the Ministry of Defense and the family moved around a lot. As a permanent location, a large villa was built in the 1930s, which is still called Ullinge today. A tribute to Von Porat's two daughters Ulla and Inga. A glorious and fine name whose history we want to manage and pass on. THE FOREST PANTRY Von Porat's daughters spent a lot of time in the forest and land together with their mother. They became very good at taking advantage of and using the forest's pantry, under the guidance of their mother Elsa. Ullinge became a very popular place to gather for friends and business acquaintances of the von Porat family, especially during the kr\u00e4fts\u00e5songen. A fantastic tradition that lives on and thrives today! A HISTORICAL HOSPITALITY The hospitality that G\u00f6sta von Porat and his family once laid the foundation for is our heritage and history. Now we continue to work in his spirit and develop Ullinge with inspiration, passion and commitment to continue creating attractive meeting places for people who want to socialize.
